This ride was not quite 'as planned'. It should have been somewhat longer but as time was running out, a fast sprint to Stoke station was called for. We encountered a 'senior moment' at Swynnerton after crossing the M6 for the first time and found ourselves in a semi - ploughed field with no exit. The bikes had to be lifted over the fence to regain the correct path in the wood. Numerous "STOP THE WINDFARM" signs at Maer Hills but no sign of a windfarm.
