Stoke - Consall - Cheddleton | |
43 Km | |
This was a largely rural route despite its urban appearance. Once past Longton, the route climbs into some attractive countryside with good views. The descent through Consall finishes at the remote Consall Forge where there is an isolated pub whose trade at one time must have been mostly from the adjacent Calden Canal. The return to Stoke On Trent was along the canal until a closed towpath forced us back onto roads for final 3km. |
